Watching what has been happening in Iran over the past few days actually reminds me of the immediate aftermath following Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Lots of fear mongering and misinformation were perpetuated by the news media for weeks until we were able to finally get a grasp on the full story. This is why I'm choosing to wait it out a bit and see how things go. It's not that I don't care, I just don't want regurgitate possible lies such as the supposed "murders" and "rapes" at the Superdome in NOLA.
I will say that I hope the road to peace is short and as painless as possible. The Persian people have been through enough over the past 55 years and deserve some stability in their lives. That being said, I have my theories on what's happening in Iran today yet not much else to add at the moment. I'm just glad that things didn't go like this in 2004 when George W. Bush won a questionable re-election despite voting irregularities in Ohio.
