According to the LA Times, an anonymous Department of Defense official said they will be looking to send up to 14,000 more 'trigger pullers' to combat positions in the growing unpopular yet almost forgotten War On Afghanistan.
Trigger pullers?? What the heck are we doing in Afghanistan and how is escalating violence going to stop future violence?? Did we learn NOTHING from Vietnam????
8 years of using 9/11 as an excuse to wage war against a people who had nothing to do with the events of that day is beginning to wear thin. More and more Americans are starting to look at this war with the same skepticism and hostility afforded to the War On Iraq over the years. In fact, polls are showing that a majority of Americans are now finally opposed to this war too. I guess it's to be expected considering all the spilled blood, destroyed lives, wasted money, and little victories to celebrate.
We're there for oil. Same with Iraq.

Amazing that it took eight years for people to see something that I saw coming a year before Bush was elected. I knew the minute he made it in to office the world would go to hell, and not a god damned person listened to me at the time.

just because we can't see the victories doesn't mean they're not there.

If there were victories, George Bush would've made sure everyone knew about them.
